The biggest surprise on WandaVision is the appearance of Evan Peters, who previously played Quicksilver in the Fox X-Men films. At first, we thought that he was playing Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in the series, but it turns out that he is actually just a regular Westview resident named Ralph Boehner faking the persona of Wanda's deceased brother.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Simon Kinberg, the producer of the Fox X-Men films and also directed Dark Phoenix, was asked about his thoughts on Peters' appearance in the MCU series. It turns out that he didn't know that the actor will be showing up in WandaVision and he only found out about it when his kids told him.
"No, I did not know it was going to happen in advance actually, which was wild," he said. "And I did see it in real-time. In fact, I didn't even see it in real-time. I was late to it by a day or two, but obviously, I have Twitter and I also have two sons who were hardcore X-Men and Marvel fans, and they saw it and they immediately texted me and they were like, "Dad, did you see?" And I was like, 'No, I haven't seen the ep, thanks for spoiling it.' And then I saw it blowing up Twitter and then I was like, okay, well, immediately, obviously you have to go and watch it."
It is not surprising that Kinberg wasn't aware that Peters will be showing up in WandaVision. After all, he is not involved in any of the Marvel projects after Disney acquired Fox and there is no reason for him to be informed in advance that the actor will be coming back on a Marvel project. Besides, Peters was playing a fake Quicksilver, not the exact same character that he played in the X-Men films. His casting on WandaVision was just a nod to his past role and intends to mislead the viewers as well.

As of now, there is still no confirmation if Peters' Ralph Boehner will be making an appearance again in a future MCU project.
