The upcoming DCEU film The Flash will mark the return of Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader years after his tumultuous experience in 2017's Justice League, which was thought to be his last appearance as the character. Recently, the actor was able to share his experience returning to the role and it turns out to be a fun one.
In an interview with Variety during the screening of his upcoming film The Tender Bar, Affleck was asked about his experience filming The Flash. "It was a really nice way to revisit that as the prior experience had been difficult," he said. "This was really lovely. Really fun. I had a great time. I'm probably under some gag order that I'm not even aware that I probably just violated and I'm now going to be sued." He also gushed about working with Ezra Miller and seeing his friend Jason Momoa, "I love Ezra and I had a chance to see Jason [Momoa], who's over there making Aquaman [and the Lost Kingdom]."
It is great to hear that Affleck had a fun experience doing the film and he really sounds genuine about it. He did mention that his prior experience was difficult, which most likely refers to Justice League since it was the last DCEU film that he worked on. There have been a lot of stories and reports about the behind-the-scenes of that film under the direction of Joss Whedon. It seems like The Flash is the complete opposite of that and he was able to have a more positive experience doing the role.

Besides Affleck, Michael Keaton is also set to make his return as Batman almost 30 years after he last played the role in Batman Returns. Sasha Calle will mark her debut as Supergirl. Filming has reportedly been done just recently. It is expected that they will show first look footage on the film at the DC FanDome event this coming October 16.
The Flash is set to be released in cinemas on November 4, 2022.
