Cobra Kai Tanner Buchanan Interested to Play Robin Alongside Robert Pattinson's Batman

Cobra Kai has become one of the most popular shows right now and, as a result, its younger cast members have become involved in high-profile projects outside the series. Most notably, Xolo Maridueña, who plays Miguel Diaz, is set to star as DC hero Blue Beetle in an HBO Max film. But it turns out, his co-star is also eyeing to play another DC character in a movie.

Per Showbiz Cheat Sheet, in an interview on Just a Variety podcast, Tanner Buchanan, who plays Robby Keene in the series, expressed his interest to play Robin alongside Robin Pattinson's Batman in a movie.

"Ever since I found out Robert Pattinson was playing Batman, he's one of my favorite actors, I was like I need to play his Robin," Buchanan said. "That is my role. I need that one so badly. I don't know if he's going to have a Robin. But I'm going to start convincing him that I need to do it. Obviously, it helps I already have the fight training."

He added, "He's always been one of my favorites because I grew up watching and reading the Teen Titans, the cartoon and everything. Even when I was little I always wanted to be Robin. I wanted to be Robin. So hey, if Robert Pattinson needs a Robin, I'm going to fight for that one. I'm going to go for that one. That one's going to be my role."

It seems like Buchanan is really eager to play Robin and he will do everything to get the role if ever there will be casting. Luckily, thanks to Cobra Kai, there is already proof that he can do action sequences which would bode well for his potential on playing the superhero role. He is also wonderful in the series and has shown his range as an actor through the different storylines that his character went through.

As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding a sequel for Matt Reeves' The Batman. But if ever they'll have Robin show up in a follow-up film, at least they know who they can consider for the role first.
