Mass Effect Andromeda Will Get a New Difficulty & Playable Race

BioWare may be bringing in a familiar race from the trilogy, which is technically new to Andromeda. The developer has confirmed that it will include the batarians in the new game.

Not just that, this new race will be playable in the game. This was confirmed in a new clip released via Twitter. The teaser shows the first hint of the batarians alongside the teaser of the Platinum Difficulty, which was the original announcement in the first place.

This makes sense, given how the multiplayer mode, where the batarians will be appearing in the game, is known to be tied with the canon Mass Effect universe. This is a nice addition for those who may have been stuck with the notion that single player-wise, the batarians aren't featured at all.

This may be a bit of good news considering the recent report that Mass Effect Andromeda may actually not have DLC plans for its single-player campaign. While that in itself hasn't been confirmed or debunked by the developer, the inclusion of the batarians may have an interesting backstory to go with it. At least that's something players can look forward to as a new addition to the game.

We're waiting on when Mass Effect Andromeda will get the Platinum Difficulty for Apex Multiplayer.
