The mysterious spirit sleeping within Rio has finally awakened. He decides to name her Aishia, and she ends up being an incredibly capable and powerful spirit. Rio finally returns to the Strahl region to visit Celia, but unfortunately, he ends up finding out something unexpected about her.
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles follows the story of a boy named Rio, who is a reincarnation of a young man from Japan named Haruto Amakawa. Their lives are mysteriously linked together, and Rio possesses interesting powers and abilities that have yet to be explained.

The misunderstanding of the situation has been clarified. The awakened spirit, Aishia, seems to know everything about Rio—including his past as Haruto Amakawa. Since the household isn't exactly sure how to help in figuring out what to do, they decide to go to the elders and Dryas. It seems that Aishia has mysteries of her own, considering she lost her memories. Nevertheless, she's proficient in all the fields of spirit arts, which is a rare feat. Rio and Aishia engage in battle in an attempt to gauge the spirit's powers. Similar to Rio, she's incredibly powerful.
The portable house that Rio requested is finally done. Because of this, he has decided to leave for the Strahl region already. He makes a promise to Latifa that he will someday return to the village. The elders give him parting gifts for his journey, including an earring that will allow him to change his hair color.
Celia still thinks about Rio constantly, treasuring the letter she received for him. However, when Rio sneaks into the academy, he sees that Celia's room is empty. After some investigation with the help of Aishia's powers, he finds out that Celia is getting married to a noble. What shocks him, even more, is that she's getting married to Lord Charles from the House of Arbor.
