After a four-year wait, Kobayashi and the lovely dragons are finally returning for the much anticipated second season of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. Here is what has been revealed about the upcoming season of this slice of lifefantasy series that's coming this summer.
The second season by Kyoto Animation will be titled Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S. Mutsumi Tamura, Yuki Kuwahara, and Maria Naganawa will be reprising their roles as Kobayashi, Tohru, and Kanna respectively. The rest of the cast including Fafnir (Daisuke Ono), Lucoa (Minami Takahashi), Shota (Kaori Ishihara), Riko (Emiri Kato), and Makoto (Yuichi Nakamura) will all be returning as well. In addition, we will be meeting a new dragon named Ilulu, who is voiced by Tomomi Mineuchi.
The first season of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid was released in 2017, which is why so many fans have been looking forward to the release of the second season. Not to mention that the first season kind of left us hanging and maybe even a bit confused.
It has been confirmed that Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S is set to premiere on July 7, 2021. The official Twitter account of the show also released a new key visual.
The opening theme for Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S is called "Ai no Supreme" (Love Supreme) by Japanese pop band Fhána. Kyoto Animation released a trailer on their YouTube channel, which you can watch below:
We certainly can't wait to see more adorable interactions between the humans and dragons of the show, especially with Kobayashi, Tohru, and Kanna. We can only help but wonder what kind of situations are they gonna be caught up in this time. Hopefully, there's gonna be enough moe and laughs for everyone.
