This week's episode of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S somewhat brought us back to the beginning of the series, considering it showed us the history of Tohru and why she came to the human world. It was nice to see a more vulnerable version of Tohru, who's always so cheerful in the show.
Even though some of us probably want more episodes, the second season is unfortunately ending next week.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Season 2 Episode 11 Recap
Kobayashi is having trouble with her lower back because of all the work she's been doing. She ended up buying a lot of massage equipment just to try to relieve the pain. With Tohru being Tohru, she once again insists that Kobayashi should eat her tail—which, of course, Kobayashi refuses. Tohru decides to ask Takiya and Elma for advice on how to help Kobayashi. She receives sound advice and tips from Takiya, which she reflects upon on her way home.
When Tohru was writing down the spell for perception blocking to teach Ilulu and Kanna, Kobayashi realized how similar it is to the company's coding. She decides to talk to the director about it, and he tells her that it's because it's the mages who developed it. At that same moment, Tohru's dad, the Emperor of Demise, was at the company. It turns out that he and the director are friends.
Kobayashi asks him about Tohru and why she came to this world. He explains that he wanted to raise Tohru in such a way that she comes up with her own views and ideals of the world instead of being tied down by the dragons and factions. Even so, Tohru hated the fighting, and she wanted it to stop. That is why she decided to fight the gods on her own—according to her father, she might have thought that if she defeated the gods, the fighting would stop. However, Tohru was stabbed, and that's how she and Kobayashi met in the mountains that one night.
Upon arriving home, Kobayashi also wanted to hear Tohru's feelings personally. As much as Tohru wanted to be free, she also realized how scary it could be. Through all that, she was glad to have met Kobayashi. She realized what she wanted to do, which was to be a maid.
