We may not have gotten an update on our main characters, but Chapter 159 of Jujutsu Kaisen highlights one of the Culling Game players that Itadori and the others are looking for. This chapter introduces Hiromi Higuruma's character, a glimpse into his technique, and his principles.

The chapter focuses on Hiromi Higuruma and his job as a lawyer. Japan's criminal trials end with a verdict of guilty 99.9% of the time. He had a client named Keita Oe, who was charged with the suspicion of the murder of a mother and daughter in 2016. He ran away while patrol officers were questioning him. They found a bloody knife in his home, which matched the DNA of the victim. Oe claims that the blade wasn't his, and he just happened to pick it up.
He was talking about this with his co-worker, Shimizu, who thinks that Oe ran away from the interrogation because he was guilty. Hiruguma feels that this isn't exactly the case, considering his client's circumstances. His client works a live-in job as a caretaker for a non-profit organization that runs a shelter for the elderly. However, they didn't pay him—instead, he received other forms of compensation like pocket money and groceries. Even so, his client was forced to pay rent.
Higuruma is aware of the increase in shady organizations, so he believes that Oe might be innocent. Shimizu asks Higuruma why he took this case, and he says that it's fine to handle complicated cases sometimes (even though it seems that he does this all the time). The scene switches to Shimizu talking to a colleague who also worked with Higuruma before. The colleague believes that Higuruma's mental state may have gotten worse following a case that involved drunk driving. He was forced to drink and drive by his workplace during that time, but he was still charged guilty.
At Oe's trial, the initial verdict was that he was found innocent. However, Higuruma believes that they'll immediately appeal. At the second trial, Oe was charged guilty. Higuruma takes out his own gavel and tells the whole court that they're having a retrial. Behind him, a dark figure with scales and its eyes stitched shut appears.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 160 Spoilers, Summary
The Culling Game arc has begun. Kenjaku is going on a killing spree. Itadori's group starts looking for the Angel that'll help unseal Gojo through the players' list. When the Angel doesn't show up, they look for another way to do it.
The center of the colony is located in Sendai. Kenjaku proposes an exit path for everyone within the range of his barriers by meeting them in some sort of cursed space that isn't part of their dreams or reality. Iguchi and Sasaki, Itadori's seniors from the Occult Club, are there. Kenjaku tells Sasaki that she can get out of the barrier if she doesn't want to join the game, but only once. He also thanks Sasaki for "taking care of his son," in which she realizes he was referring to Yūji.
The kogane is warning bypassers about entering the barriers unless they want to join the Culling Game. Meanwhile, Yūji and the others have split into teams. Panda and Hakari go together to search for Kashimo and Angel while Yūji and Megumi look for Hiromi. Kirara remains outside the barriers so that they can still have information about the outside world.
