Megumi's perception skills are put to the test in Chapter 156 of Jujutsu Kaisen. At least the battle between him, Panda, and Kirara finally reaches its conclusion. Now, the next question is, will they be able to convince Kirara and Hakari to join their cause?

As Megumi releases his rabbit shikigami, he notices markings on them, specifically a symbol of a star and the word Acrux. He also sees that the door to Hakari is marked with Gacrux. He dispels the rabbits and asks Panda where it was drawn to. Panda says the rabbits were pulled towards him and the second floor, but not Kirara and the door. Megumi asks if Panda's marked anywhere, and Panda sees the word Imai on him. He then checks himself to see if he's marked.
He figures out that the cursed technique follows the Southern Cross constellation. Kirara's surprised reaction gave it away, which confirmed that theory for Megumi. Panda and Megumi discuss the constellation to theorize further how Kirara's cursed technique works. They realize that the technique involves four or more stars. They also assume that a specific order must be followed to satisfy which markings can approach and repel each other.
Feeling pressured, Kirara attacks. Megumi initially thinks that Kirara has to touch something to mark it. But he realizes that Kirara isn't marking objects but cursed energy. He successfully finds the fifth star, marked Mimosa. The chapter proceeds to explain Kirara's cursed technique called Love Rendezvous.
For a star to approach another star, there is a specific order that must be followed. The order follows the distance of the stars from the Earth, from nearest to farthest. After all, each star varies in distance from the planet. Any other objects marked with the same name will be pulled towards each other. Megumi is marked with the second star, Acrux, which means he has to go through Mimosa then Ginan (marked as Kirara) to get to the door.
Kirara fails to realize that Megumi never dispelled his Demon Dog. With Megumi's perceptiveness, he figured out how his Demon Dog would be able to get to Kirara. Kirara is defeated, and Megumi pleads for Kirara to listen.

Yūji gets kicked out of the room. It seems that Hakari beat him up pretty badly, but he wasn't exactly fighting back either since they're there to ask for cooperation. Yūji couldn't land a hit on Hakari anyway.
Hakari is wondering why their help is needed. Yūji says the higher years told him that Hakari is strong. Even Yūta said so before.
Megumi bows and kneels to the ground in front of Kirara to ask for their help. In the end, Hakari and Kirara agree to cooperate.
