A common trope in this genre is the main character is seen as a hero, fighting monsters and the like—though that's not exactly the case in How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom.

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom or Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki follows Kazuya Souma, an 18-year-old student who gets transported to the magical fantasy Kingdom of Elfrieden. Initially, he was summoned by the kingdom as a hero. However, King Albert recognized his skills and potential, which resulted in Souma ending up on the throne as the new king.

Using his knowledge to improve the kingdom economically and as a whole, Souma is just starting to rebuild the kingdom and his new life.
