Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
People in the town are currently avoiding going out in the dark because of a demon called Slasher lurking around the area. Many people, including a train conductor, have already been killed. Rengoku and the other Demon Slayers are currently in the area investigating. They first head for the station where the train conductor was recently killed. They are also investigating the Mugen Train, where people have disappeared. At the station, Rengoku meets two bento vendors — a girl named Fuku and her grandmother.
Rengoku decides to head for the shed where the Mugen Train is currently at. There are multiple workers in there to work on the train since it will be back in service the following day. Eventually, Rengoku senses the presence of a demon. It turns out to be the Slasher, who has taken one of the workers as a hostage. Rengoku successfully saves the boy from the Slasher’s grasp, but the Slasher has decided to come after the two bento vendors next.
Fuku, who initially didn’t believe in demons, gets attacked by the Slasher. Rengoku saves her and her grandmother right in the nick of time. Fuku’s grandmother suddenly gets a flashback, where a Demon Slayer with the same hair and haori saved her and Fuku’s mom. She tells Rengoku about this, and Rengoku realizes that it was his father who saved them during that time. Daylight breaks once again, and it was time for the Mugen Train to be back in service.
