Xbox Games Pass For PC: How Does It Work Explained

Xbox Games Pass allows you to enjoy hundreds of games with no worries of owning the game before you'll be able to play as long as the game is on the list of the game pass. Think of it like Netflix or HBO Max, but for video games, where there are on-demand games in its library. This can be played through mobile phones, iPad, and through PC. So, how does it work on PC?

To be able to access Xbox Games Pass, you have two options: either you download the free app or find games that would be compatible with the games under the library Game Pass. Here are the steps.

Step One: Get The Xbox Game Pass

This is the start, the first step that will take you to games heaven. All you have to do is go to the website of Microsoft and purchase a subscription to Xbox Games Pass for PC which will cost you $1 for the first month. It will be $9.99 for the succeeding months. This includes access to more than 250 games plus the EA Play.

You can also choose other subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass Ultimate where you can play the games wherever you want and have access to xCloud, EA Play, and Xbox Live Gold for the price of $14.99 a month.

Step Two: Get The Xbox Game Pass On Your PC

There are two options where you can do this: first, you can download it on the Microsoft Store when you search the "Xbox (Beta)" app. You can find it in this link as well. Once you already have it downloaded and installed, log in with your Microsoft account. Install the games you want to play and launch it via the Xbox app.

The second option is, go to the Microsoft Store, click the menu button, select My Library so you can access all the contents you already own. Search for "Xbox Game Pass" where all the games would be displayed. Select the game you want to play and voila, you can now play!

However, there's a catch on the second option. The games displayed are not all for PC so you have to make sure that the game you would select could be accessed through PC as some games listed there are for consoles only.

Step Three: Select The Game

As mentioned above, you have two options but the first one is safer as that would ensure that the game is under Xbox Game Pass. There are a lot of games that can be accessed through Xbox Game Pass, you can even track down your achievements which will be credited to your Microsoft account.

Step Four: Play and Enjoy
