MAPPA gets original with the sports anime of water polo involving Minato Kiyomizu who used to be a prodigy but had an unfortunate accident making him forget three years in his life. Many are hooked with the series and with only a few episodes left, here is what we expect to happen after the end of season 1 and will there be a season 2 of Re-Main.

Re-Main's story follows Minato Kiyomizu who got caught in an unfortunate accident during winter while he was in his third year in middle school. This put him in a coma for 203 days and when he regained consciousness, he was surprised that he lost three years of his memories. He catches up on what he lost and despite having no memories of his skills on water polo, he remained interested in it, even deciding to join the team of his current school.

The show is filling the TV Asahi's NUMAnimation block and it is opened by the song "Forget Me Not" by Enhypen, and closed by "Kowareta Sekai no Byōshin wa" performed by Shugo Nakamura.

Since it is an original anime television series, there is no light novel or manga it is based on though there are times that the show comes first and an adaptation on print happens subsequently. It is directed by Kiyoshi Matsuda, written and sound directed by Masafumi Nishida, character designs by Kaori Futō, animation designed by Shiho Tanaka, and music by Kana Utatane.

Re-Main and all its 12 episodes officially stream on Funimation with English subtitles in their streaming platform known for giving their premium access subscribers the privilege of an earlier screening of the episodes of the anime shows for the price of $5.99 per month or $59.99 a year. The episodes get out for free the following week. No news yet as to the English dubbed version of the show.
