WandaVision just took a whole new turn and we're taken by Episode 4 to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that we know of: one with chaos and more questions. With the fifth episode underway, halfway of the whole season, we're getting closer to answering more questions.

WandaVision Episode 5 Trailer

An official sneak peek has been released by Marvel, and we are taken aback by all the little things that can be squeezed in one minute. The trailer features both inside the bubble reality of Wanda and Vision, and what is happening at the same time in the facility SWORD has put just outside the border of the barrier.

The clips are a mix of the fourth episode, parts of the previous trailers, and possibly tell us more of the situation at hand. Win the preview, Wanda and Vision are in their fight or flight response (or may I say fight and flight, you know what I mean) and it seems that they would be getting outside of Westview for the first time since the start of everything.

Monica Rambeau is still in recovery after being thrown out by Wanda herself and she is considered as the "first first-person perspective" of the sitcom of WandaVision. SWORD is still baffled as to what is happening and is still trying to find out answers.

In another part of the clip, it is seen that SWORD will be infiltrating the bubble by literally barging in it with their trucks and with what happened to the drone of Monica, which we now know as the red chopper that Wanda found in the bushes, the trucks are about to face a change once they pass through the barrier.

"It's probably just a case of the Mondays, am I right?" Wanda says this near the end of the trailer than a scene that seems like Wanda infiltrated the facility outside is shown. Probably gonna regret the truck thing, SWORD, probably will.

WandaVision Episode 5 Premise

Following the events of Episode 4, the fifth episode will pick up from the ending of the previous episode and we will be probably seeing a mix of the WandaVision sitcom and the concurrent situation outside the border.

It would be the fourth episode of the sitcom Dr. Darcy is already invested in and things will take a whole new turn as unexpected things are about to emerge.

The next episode will be set in the ‘80s as suggested by what the characters of the sitcom are wearing. For the barracks beyond the barrier, it would focus on finding answers as to what is inside Westview now that they have a "first-person perspective" of the world inside.

WandaVision Episode 5 Theories

A change like the show brought us back to the MCU we were all familiar with and with the fourth episode, some questions may already have their answers.

It seems that it has been Wanda all along, the controls, the mind behind Westview, the whole new life where she and Vision now have some sort of a "home" but there are a few hints also that she only knows to a certain extent.

As expressly said by Wanda in the trailer, she said she has no idea how any of it started but from the looks of all the previous sitcom, even without an explanation as to how it all started, Wanda just embraced what is given to her: a new life with Vision.

Who wouldn't? Especially for Wanda who has been grieving most of the time in the MCU, it would be a shock if she wouldn't grab the chance to start again. And like a drug, Wanda just accepted it like she has control over her life for the first time.

With outsiders such as SWORD, Wanda would feel threatened as what she considers "home" is under attack. But the more intriguing question is, up to what extent does Wanda control Westview?

Theories suggest that it is not only Wanda who is in control, there is something else sharing the control with her. In the fourth episode where Dr. Darcy noticed the glitching twice, it seems that someone else was cutting off the episodes on the broadcast.

It could be Wanda but it would definitely be not her who allowed the airing of the broadcast given that she wants to keep Vision and Westview to herself and to avoid any other complications. So, Wanda clearly has either help or someone controlling her.

Another suggested theory is that Wanda and Vision are fighting each other and not beside each other. Couple fights are common but when you have two powered individuals, it could be messier than hurtful words and flying plates or stuff.

It is not the first time Wanda and Vision did not agree on something as it was shown in Captain America: Civil War that they can be separated by their own ideals. And Wanda won that round by submerging Vision in their concrete floor.

In the trailer, "Vision" asks Wanda what is beyond Westview. It is possible that Vision would turn against Wanda once he knows of the true nature of their "home" and instead of fighting for it, he could fight Wanda because of it.

Vision is a man of morals; Wanda is a depressed woman who just wants a new chance in life. In whichever way you look, both of them have a point to stand for. Let's just hope it doesn't get really messy as it would be the most destructive fight of a couple to ever see the light of day.

As regards SWORD, theories suggest that the Acting Director is hiding something evil. It started when he mentioned sentient weapons to Monica where she indicated that SWORD is an observation and response team, not a creator of the weapons themselves.

With the creation of weapons and sending off Rambeau inside the bubble reality, theories arise that Director Hayward is after something: a possible source of a new sentient weapon or at least, parts for it.

Director Hayward also shares the same surname as that of a minor villain in another TV series, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD where Brian Hayward, a Nazi super-soldier created by the Centipede Project of Hydra. When two characters in Marvel shares the same name, the two may be connected as coincidence is something beyond the helm of Marvel.

A wild theory also puts the Skrulls back in the rumors as one of the words written by Woo on the whiteboard mentions it. Again, there is only a sliver of possibility that it is a coincidence but given that the Secret Invasion is about to happen, there can be a major connection between the two.
