One of the staple names in manga, the shōnen manga series of Tokyo Revengers by Ken Wakui of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine received the Kodansha Manga Award under the shōnen category in 2020. With this, it scored two adaptations this year, one being a live-action film, and the other is an anime series by Liden Films with 24 episodes running through two anime seasons in a double-cour.

What happened in Tokyo Revengers Episode 3?
In Tokyo Revengers Episode 3, Resolve, Takemichi makes a great leap of faith and challenges Kiyomasa in a dangerous game of Thaiman in his efforts to protect Takuya Yamamoto, who has a weak body. It is also Takemichi's way to change himself. To the annoyance of Kiyomasa, his blows seem to be nothing for Takemichi as he does not kneel despite being beaten up and having cuts on his knees.
Watching from the sidelines are Manjiro Sano (Mikey), President of Tokyo Revengers, and Ken Ryuguji (Draken), Vice President. They were watching the brawl and when Kiyomasa threatens to kill Takemichi, both Mikey and Draken approaches to tell Kiyomasa to relax. Mikey ordered Ken to punish Kiyomasa for fighting someone skinny from middle school without permission.
