Netflix Geeked Week Day 5 is packed with great news and just after they released the teaser for The Witcher Season 2, it has been announced that an event will be happening and it will be the WitcherCon to be hosted by Netflix and CD Projekt Red, the developer of the game.

The Witcher has been a famous title, both as a game and as a series on Netflix, and with the announcement that WitcherCon is finally happening brews more excitement to the fans of the franchise, may it be the game or the series, as it will surely be packed with projects involving The Witcher that are to come.

Netflix Geeked posted on their official Twitter page, “Geralt, meet Geralt. Welcome back into the world of The Witcher! @netflix and @CDPROJEKTRED are teaming up to host #WitcherCon on July 9. #GeekedWeek”

While there were no other specifics given in the announcement, it gave us a day to mark on the calendar. The Witcher Season 2 also dropped a brief teaser with hints on the destiny of Princess Ciri. Surprisingly, Geralt is nowhere to be seen in the teaser and that just makes the second season more interesting. The official Twitter page of The Witcher series also teased something happening on July 9, and this could be the WitcherCon.

Netflix also has an upcoming animated spin-off movie and a live-action prequel show for The Witcher titled The Witcher: Blood Origin. As for the game, recently, the CEO of CD Projekt Red teased that there is an upcoming Witcher game, and it is not necessarily The Witcher 4 or about Geralt, though.

The WitcherCon event would likely shed more information about these upcoming projects involving the title and surely, it will be packed with exciting announcements as well.

WitcherCon is scheduled for July 9, 2021 and it will be available to stream on Netflix’s YouTube and Twitter.
