Great news ahead for the players of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 as it has been confirmed by none other than CD Projekt Red, that these games would be launching PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrades later this year, by the second half of 2021 announced during their Fiscal Year 2020 Earnings Call with their investors.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 has been two of the biggest games for CD Projekt Red and in said event, they laid out a 2021 roadmap that shows their commitment to delivering free DLC for said titles.

The upcoming upgrades would be narrowed down to those on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This is also confirmed by a senior analyst of Niko Partners, Daniel Ahmad in a tweet saying that the upgrades would come in the second half of the year along with the units sold for Cyberpunk 2077 with 13.7 million copies and The Witcher having over 30 million units sold by the end of 2020.

Although the roadmap did not indicate specific states for launch, it has some information related to The Witcher that along with the highly anticipated upgrade comes with Spokko Games developing a mobile game for it, The Witcher: Monster Slayer, and that GWENT is in the works as well for CD Projekt Red for further development.

It should also be noted that CD Projekt Red recently took over Digital Scapes and got its rebranded to CD Projekt Red Vancouver which opens doors for more possibilities in games with an expansion underway. Recently, CD Projekt Red shared that they will be shifting into a "parallel development" on both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 as part of their strategy on the operational structure behind the games.
