The Internet Celebrates as Lucasfilm Confirms Dave Filoni's Promotion

Dave Filoni, a Star Wars fan-favorite for being the creative mind behind Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: The Bad Batch, just had a change in his designation and the internet has gone wild over it in celebration as Lucasfilm confirms that he has been in the said position "for quite some time now" and the website update happened just now to reflect such promotion.

Everyone got really excited upon seeing Dave Filoni's name with the title of Executive Creative Director in the page of Lucasfilm. In a report from IGN in clarification on the change of designation, the spokesperson of Lucasfilm said, "Dave has been serving as Executive Producer / Executive Creative Director at Lucasfilm for quite some time now."

Included in those who celebrated the promotion of Filoni are his co-workers Katee Stackhoff who tweeted, "I mean.....This Is The Way @dave_filoni Brilliant!!!," and Ming-Na Wen who said through her Twitter page, "HELL YES!!! So happy for you, @dave_filoni!! So deserve this!" They are among the thousands who were congratulating Filoni and who are excited for what is in store for Star Wars now that he has been named under said designation.

This promotion of Filoni is one which is quite expected and everyone could really say that he has earned his new designation as he is just the right person to fill in the role. With this, Filoni will surely be able to contribute more to Star Wars especially now that they have a lot of shows in line for the upcoming years.

Dave Filoni has been considered a fan-favorite ever since he joined the studio in 2005. He was personally selected by George Lucas to help the franchise in-studio animation efforts. He created Star Wars: The Clone Wars and it was a sure hit as it won four Emmy Awards. Filoni spearheaded Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars Resistance as well.

Recently, he participated in making The Mandalorian a success, and currently, he now has a show up on Disney+, Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Filoni's work does not stop there as he has The Book of Boba Fett in line for the franchise.
