The Flash Unveils Synopsis for Armageddon, The Five-Part Season 8 Event of the Series

The Flash has been a staple name in the Arroverse ever since the inception of the show and it will continue with more as it progresses with the story of Barry Allen. For the Season 8 of the series, there would be a five-part event titled Armageddon, and it will feature a crossover-type feel like the one we all had during the Crisis of Infinite Earths.

The five-part event will be kicking off Season 8 of The Flash and Armageddon will be bringing back various characters from throughout the Arrowverse including various old friends of Barry Allen and the rest of the speedsters that were in the finale of season 7.

The synopsis for Armageddon, the five-part kick-off of The Flash Season 8, is below:

"A powerful alien threat arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances and Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton) and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to save the world. But with time running out, and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail."

Characters returning for the show will be Javicia Leslie who will reprise her role as Batwoman, Brandon Routh would be back as The Atom, Cress Williams will be returning as Black Lightning, Chyler Leigh would portray Sentinel again, Kat McNamara would be gracing the screens again as Mia Queen, and Osric Chau would be appearing again as Ryan Choi.

Not only that, but previous enemies of The Flash would also be back with Tom Cabanaugh as Eobard Thawne or Reverse Flash, and Neal McDonough would be returning as Damien Darhk. Another DC Villain is also hailed to be coming into the five-part event with Despero who would be portrayed by Doctor Who Star Tony Curran.

The Flash will make his return on November 16, 2021 with Armageddon, the five-part event that will grace Season 8 of the series, at 7 PM CT/ 8 PM EST, its usual timeslot on the cable channel of The CW alongside the livestreams on Hulu+ Live TV, YouTubeTV, and AT&T TV Now. The episode is expected to follow the same release online wherein it would be up the next morning on The CW App and on CW.com.
