Superman & Lois Episode 4 Release Date and Time is here and although the news of the shocking hiatus comes with only two episodes left before the break, there's still so much to anticipate with the show as the series quickly picks up the liking and preference of most DC fans bringing a more human side to the ever-beloved hero, Superman, together with his wife, Lois.

The hiatus is brought about the various challenges that Superman & Lois faces as executing a series is hard enough these days with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it's even more serious with the production team receiving a positive COVID test leading to the temporary shutdown of the product causing the series to be put on hold.

After the fifth episode, the series will not be back until May 18 which gives a month and a week for the recovery of the crew and to ensure that all is well and healthy when the production resumes. Before all else, today, the top concern is keeping everyone safe and away from the coronavirus as, without the people behind the camera, the series would not be possible at all. Safety first, and, surely, fans and viewers would understand the situation.

Superman & Lois, much to the trill of the fans of seeing one of the most favorite characters in the entire superhero history lord the skies again, highlights a more relatable Superman, one who is both strong and vulnerable, one who is both stern and caring at the same time – Superman is a father who struggles juggling his priorities between saving the world and being a parent to his children making sure that he gets to see them grow up and not leave the burden of all of it to his wife, Lois.

Superman/ Clark Kent and Lois Lane return to where it all began, in the hometown of Clark, in Smallville, with their sons Jonathan and Jordan, starting over again in their life within the quiet and idyllic town full of memories of Clark's childhood, only to be upended by a mysterious stranger who arrives in town aiming to prove the world no longer needs Superman.

Starring Tyler Hoechlin as Superman/ Clark Kent, and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, the couple will be joined by Jordan Elsas as Jonathan Kent and Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent, Dylan Walsh as General Lane, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, and Wolé Parks as the villain.

Sure, there is more, as Superman & Lois has recently been officially renewed for a second season.

Superman & Lois Episode 3 Preview

The CW released the promo video for the third episode titled "The Perks of Not Being a Wallflower" featuring Superman/ Clark Kent answering the heeding calls of the public for help. His children, however, feel that he isn't doing enough as their father as he leaves his family behind for others.

Superman & Lois Episode 3 Recap

Superman & Lois Episode 3, "The Perks of Not Being a Wallflower," introduces a new face with Leslie Larr (Stacey Farber), shows a family paint fight, and features Jordan trying to escape from everything that is happening.

The Kent family makes it official as ever, they are in Smallville. The Kent family paints their house with the colors of their liking, and being a family bonding, they had a paint fight. However, the fun was cut off when Clark hears a call for the help of what seems to be a bridge that is about to collapse. Clark heads on being Superman saving various residents by holding up the entire bridge.

While having breakfast the next day, Jonathan and Jordan began firing questions to Clark about being Superman and his powers including questions of the most embarrassing sports such as what he hears with his super-hearing abilities. Lois, on the other hand, tells her children to be mindful of their actions especially outside of their house.

In school, trouble seeps in as Jordan faces a whole soccer team who's still not over him kissing Sarah. Jonathan tries to protect his brother but to no avail. Because Jordan's powers are outbursts, he seems to be about to use it against Sean when Clark showed up to break the scuffle. Both Jordan and Jonathan ask why Clark showed up and they don't seem to be happy, especially Jordan, that Clark is looking out for them like spying on them.

Back home, Lois recalls over dinner that time when she caught Clark listening to her and how that affected their relationship. She urges Clark to do the right thing and he apologized to the boys as regards listening to them without permission.

Lois is at her new job at the Gazette where they get a potential tip on a possible story about Morgan Edge. Sharon Powell approaches them believing her son disappeared because of Edge.

The boys are in a school where Jordan shows up to the football team telling his brother he wants to sign up. As a concerned brother, he thinks Jordan's powers might get in the way. When the Coach lets him in, he basically runs through the whole team.

Sarah, Jonathan, and Jordan hanged after dinner talking about the breakup of Sarah and Sean which she admits was long overdue. Lana tried to pull her daughter aside but Sarah stood ground calling her family a "dumpster fire."

Clark also shows up for his children asking them about their day. Jordan shared that Jonathan was doing reps during practice. Back home, the twins are arguing why Jordan hid the fact that he tried for the football team and lied to Clark calling him a showoff. Jordan tells him he wants everyone to stop treating him as if he is a ticking time bomb that is about to explode anytime. (Typical sibling fight, typical.)

The next morning, Clark met Lana for some paperwork. Lana confided in him that her family seems to be falling apart and told Clark that she heard Jordan joined the football team. Confused, Clark confronted Jordan about joining the team and not telling the truth to him. He suspects that taking Jordan to the Fortress must've been too early and a mistake. Jordan backlashed telling him that him being around is more of a mistake.

Lois reports to work and is about to meet with Sharon about the disappearance of her child. Upon arriving, Lois senses that something isn't right. A man appears trapping Lois inside, and she fights back by stabbing his ear and sending an SOS to Superman. Lois tries to wake up Sharon and Superman froze the man in place.

Jordan and Clark talk about how Clark wanted to be part of the baseball team but his father prevented him from a tryout because the reason is that he wasn't even wanting to play for himself but a girl. Clark asks whether he wanted to play for himself and if he can control his powers in doing so, Jordan, excited, says yes. Clark surprises his children by being the new assistant coach of the team, complete in attire with his outfit of a jacket and a cap, as his support for his children.

Before the episode ends, Leslie Larr arrives with her heat vision spiking through Subjekt-11.

Superman & Lois Episode 3 Clips

The CW released various clips from Episode 3. The first is about how Clark and Lois' sons are no longer just any other teenagers. They're now "Suddenly Super Sons" who have inherited the powers of the superhero father. It shows clips of Jonathan and Jordan throughout the series.

The second clip is about Jordan and Jonathan asking various questions Clark as regards his powers. Now that the children found out about theirs, they need to know their family history and lineage. The family is having a question-and-answer portion while having a meal and it seems that his children really wanted to know more of his powers. (Lois, I know you're there; boys will always be boys.)

The third clip focuses more on the struggles of Jordan in school, especially with his mental health. There are bullies, of course, just like in any other school, and Jordan has to face it. Jonathan wouldn't let his brother face it alone. More so, Clark wouldn't let his children face such a heavy burden now that Jordan has bursts of outrage resulting in his exhibition of powers. Being the concerned father that he is, he goes to the school of the twins, just in time to keep his son from being beaten up.

Superman & Lois Episode 4 Promo

The CW released the official promo for Episode 4 titled Haywire which seems like trouble is at the doorstep of the Kent family. In one clip, it is shown that Jonathan and Jordan are in the woods where Jordan is lying down. In another, it shows Lois explaining to her father that aside from being Superman, Clark has another responsibility and it is being a father to their family. Superman also faces Captain Luthor in some scenes.
