Superman & Lois Episode 1 Recap

Superman & Lois

The first episode of Superman & Lois pays homage to the DC Comics, TV, and Film history on one of the most well-explored characters in the DC Comics, or rather, the entire history of live-action adaptations of superheroes.

The episode started with Clark Kent recalling his childhood before moving to Metropolis where he gets to reminisce the first day he ever saw Lois Lane. Clark and Lois fell in love, got married, and had twins, Jonathan and Jordan. Raising the twins was no easy feat for the couple especially with Jordan who has been diagnosed with a social anxiety disorder.

In the present day, Superman puts out a fire at a plant which caused him to arrive later than expected and he missed dinner. It’s the first day of school the following day, a challenge for Jordan. As the next morning arrives, the twins are off to school and the couple is just worried for Jordan.

Upon arriving at The Daily Planet, Clark receives a call regarding his mother, Martha, who died. Grieving, the Kent family attends the funeral and spends the time in Smallville. At home, the twins were not allowed to go to the barn but kids will be kids, curiosity kills the cat. As they enter the barn, several pipes fell on the twins and Clark rushed to take his children out of the pipes.Superman & Lois

In a trouble nearby, Clark suits up as Superman to come face to face with a man in a helmet shooting into the skies. In the fight, Superman gets stabbed in the chest with kryptonite, falling back to the ground.

At home, Clark and Lois would need to iron things up by starting to explain to the twins what happened to Clark. Jordan admitted that he has newfound powers. A heart-to-heart father-and-son talk between Clark and Jordan happens where Clark talked about being a father.

Clark and Lois decided they will be staying in Smallville and discussed this with their children that from then on, things will get different.

On the other hand, the enemy of Superman enters his lair. A voice called him Mr. Luthor as he dropped his helmet.
