Stranger Things, created by the Duffer Brothers, is set in the ‘80s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, where Will Byers disappeared mysteriously and his friends, Mike, Lucas, and Dustin helped Will's mother, Joyce, to find him. In the efforts of searching for him, the group encountered Eleven, a girl with psychokinetic powers. Together, they found Will in the Upside Down, a parallel universe where terrifying monsters lurk in the dark. With three seasons of Stranger Things, things will only get stranger as Season 4 is on the way.

Familiar faces will be returning for Stranger Things 4. Millie Bobbie Brown would be returning as Eleven/ Jane Hopper, a powerful girl with telepathy and psychokinesis but with limited vocabulary as she grew up in a research facility. Also reprising their roles are Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, the sweetheart of Eleven, the middle child of the Wheeler family, and his sister Nancy who will be played by Natalia Dyer, and her screen-to-real-life partner Charlie Heaton will return as Jonathan Byers. The squad will not be complete without Noah Schnapp's Will Byers, Gaten Materazzo's Dustin Henderson, and Caleb McLaughlin's Lucas Sinclair. Winona Ryder's Joyce Byers, Sadie Sink's Max Mayfield, Maya Hawke's Robin Buckly, and Cara Buono's Karen Wheeler will also be returning. David Harbour's Jim Hopper was teased at the end of season 3 confirming that he is alive and would be expected to return in Stranger Things 4.

Eight new additions will, reportedly, join the gang of Stranger Things for Season 4. The following are set to appear in Stanger Things 4:

• Jamie Campbell Bower, notable for his role as Caius in Twilight, will play Peter Millard, a worker at a psychiatric hospital;

• Eduardo Franco, Theo from Booksmart, will play Argyle, a pizza boy and best friend of Jonathan Byers;

• Joseph Quin, from Game of Thrones, will play Eddie Munson, a part of Hawkin's High's D&D club;

• Robert Englund, also known as the famous Freddy Krueger, will play Victor Creel, a prisoner in a psychiatric hospital;

• Tom Wlaschicha, from Game of Thrones, will play Dmitri, a Russian guard who becomes friends with Jim Hopper;

• Sherman Augustus, from Into the Badlands, will play Lt. Colonel Sullivan, who plans to purge Hawkins from the evils of Upside Down;

• Mason Dye, from Bosch, will play Jayson Carver, the heartthrob of Hawkins High; and

• Nikola Djuricko, from Genius, will play Yuri, a Russian smuggler.

Although Stranger Things 4 does not have an official update yet, it is expected to be released sometime in late 2021 via Netflix.
