Star Wars: The Bad Batch Release Date on Disney Plus in the US and Everything You Need To Know

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Release Date has been revealed and everyone is pumped up for the upcoming Star Wars animated series on Disney+. Star Wars: The Bad Batch is one of the series of the massive contents of Star Wars arriving on Disney+ which was announced by Lucasfilm among with the titles of Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic, Rogue Squadron, and an unnamed Taika Waititi film.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be following the Clone Force 99, also known as the Bad Batch. The Bad Batch is a group of five elite clone troopers who has some genetic mutations which were made known in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. They are taking on various mercenary missions following the end of the Clone War.

The characters would be composed of Sergeant Hunter, Wrecker, Echo, Tech, and Crosshair. Fennec Shand would also be present. Dee Bradley Baker is set to voice all the clone troopers in the whole series which includes The Bad Batch, and Ming-Na Wen would voice the elite mercenary and sniper, Fennec Shand. Andrew Kishino will also be back to voice Saw Gerrera.

The producer of the Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be the same producer as that of The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Clone Wars, it would be by Dave Filoni, along with Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, and Jennifer Corbett.

The announcement of the release date comes with the massive news that the premiere episode of the series would be 70 minutes in total making it a real big treat for the fans, especially those who are following the Clone Wars.

An official trailer is also released featuring key elements of what to expect for the upcoming Star Wars series. The trailer opens with the haunting words of Tarkin, "A test is in order." The Bad Batch, Hunter, Wrecker, Echo, Tech, and Crosshair, seems to be performing some droid-destroying workout before Grand Moff Tarkin.

A child from Kamino meets the Bad Batch and they are on the run. Tarkin officially calls them and gives them their name, The Bad Batch, and brands them as an enemy of the state. Various cameos from known characters also appeared in the trailer such as Fennec Shand, and the young Saw Gerrera. The trailer closes with the words of Hunter saying to the Kamino child, "Strap in, Kid."

Star Wars: The Bad Batch will have its 70-minute premiere on May 4, 2021. The release date is just as perfectly apt with Star Wars, may the force be with you on May the Fourth.
