Netflix continues to be one of the original streaming platform giants in existence bringing us all our favorite films, series, and anime, may it be old or new, and 2021 seems to be a big year for them as they shell out $17 Billion for the contents that they will be releasing this year proving it is here to stay and continue giving us shows to stream.

In the official first-quarter financial report released by Netflix, they said to their shareholders, "While the rollout of vaccines is very uneven across the world, we are back up and producing safely in every major market, with the exception of Brazil and India. Assuming this continues, we'll spend over $17B in cash on content this year and we'll continue to deliver an amazing range of titles for our members with more originals this year than last."

With a lot of money dedicated to contents, they would be releasing this year, expect more of your favorite shows turning up on Netflix, and with this amount, they can, for sure, add more titles to their ever-growing roster of films, series, and animes one can binge-watch all year long.

Netflix continues to soar as a streaming platform and keeps the competition tight with its competitors Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, and more as it proves to be one of the most consistent there is. Despite showing slow growth, according to The Washington Post, Netflix has around 208 million global subscribers to date, easily topping the 100 million global subscribers of Disney+ and 41 million HBO Max.

With big shows slated for release, this May on Netflix such as Zack Snyder's Army of The Dead, Jupiter's Legacy, Lucifer Season 5 Part 2, Love, Death, & Robots Season 2, and more, Netflix caters shows old and new with new releases every month giving their subscribers access to a wide variety of titles to choose from.

Netflix originals such as Stranger Things 4 and YOU Season 3, though, may put fans waiting a bit longer as such shows are facing delay, still, there are more contents to go through in the library of Netflix.

Netflix subscription costs $8.99 per month for the basic plan, $13.99 monthly for the standard plan, and $17.99 a month for the premium plan.
