Netflix Releases Teaser Trailer For DOTA: Dragon’s Blood Anime Series

Netflix recently announced via a Teaser Trailer on their official YouTube page that they are teaming up with the game producer, Valve, to develop an all-new anime series based on the popular game Defense of the Ancients or more commonly known as DOTA and it will be DOTA: Dragon's Blood.

DOTA: Dragon's Blood will be based on DOTA 2 and will be featuring Davion, a well-known Dragon Knight who is devoted to wiping the scourge from the world. Davion has his own encounters with a powerful ancient, Eldwurm, and the noble princess, Mirana, in her secret mission. Davion will be getting involved with events that are bigger than he could ever imagine.

The showrunner and executive producer of the show will be X-Men: First Class, Thor, and Black Sails' Ashely Edward Miller. Miller said that the fans will surely get a treat as to how DOTA 2 universe will be in a cinematic animation and he thanks Valve for the support to their creative ambitions.

DOTA 2 was released by Valve in 2013 which is a sequel to the original Defense of the Ancients. The multiplayer online battle arena title has been a chart-topper and is one of the leading online games across the globe hosting millions of players and multiple records for e-sports tournaments.

DOTA 2 has a solid fanbase and it is expected that the series will be a treat to the fans of the game and viewers alike. With Netflix streaming the series, it is expected to be a massive hit.

DOTA: Dragon's Blood will have 8 episodes and will be premiering globally via Netflix on March 25, 2021.
