Studio Nomad's Koikimo brings into the anime scene the josei manga series of the same name by Mogusu published in Ichijinsha's Comic POOL digital manga magazine since 2015 with seven tankōbon volumes compiled. There are 12 episodes in a single-cour for this season of Koikimo.
The pages of the manga series are brought to the screen with the story of Ryō Amakusa, a highly eligible bachelor and a womanizer, who meets Ichika Arima, a close friend of his younger sister, Rio. Ryō, mesmerized by Ichika, a high school girl, was too direct for her as he asked for a kiss and a date on the very first encounter that they had. Despite Ichika being turned off, Ryō thinks she's the one.

What happened in Koikimo Episode 3?
In Koikimo Episode 3, I'm Not Teasing You, we're taken to Ichika's school where she attends her physical education class when she, unintentionally, hit the volleyball straight to the face of her fellow classmate, Kai Tamaru. Ichika wanted to apologize. When Kai was reading alone during his break, Ichika approached to apologize and noticed the original book of the anime that she loves.
Kai, in turn, accepted the apology of Ichika and even promised to lend the anime's original book to her. The same night, Ryō rushed to fetch Ichika who was in a convenience store shopping for supplies to take her to her house. Ryō assumed that Ichika was scared to walk home in the middle of the night.
Ryō seems to be happy and bumps into Kai at the convenience store and he learns will be lending a book to Ichika. This seems to stop the happiness of Ryō and told Kai he hopes they'll enjoy being classmates in school. Ichika seems to remember that Ryō loves black coffee and brought him a can from the store.
Meanwhile, Ichika had a fever and this made Ryō worry. He paid her a visit and offered her a study guide to help her study despite being sick. The following day, in school, Ichika received her mathematics exam results and she gets a 92. This surprised her as she used Ryō's study guide and this made her feel that she needs to thank him.
