Marvel Studios president and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige confirms that some of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series in Disney+ have plans for having two or more seasons but clarifies that not all of the series would be having such as some are intended to be a limited one-time series.

The brainchild of the MCU, Kevin Feige, has been the president of Marvel since 2007 and he has since become the voice of the ever-expanding universe as he oversees all of the shows lined up. Recently, the MCU entered the realm of television with its official expansion in TV through Disney+ starting with Phase Four of the MCU, WandaVision graced the screens with nine-episodes of fun and excitement.

The MCU entry on TV doesn't stop there as The Falcon And The Winter Soldier premieres next week and the list goes on for the TV series of the MCU with Loki, Ms. Marvel, What If…? among others.

The TV series Marvel is a way for the characters to be explored on a deeper level which isn't shown in films. In WandaVision, it features the aspects of the life of Wanda Maximoff and her damaged psyche leaving fans both heartbroken and excited for her at the same time.

The TV series also opened an avenue for Marvel to introduce new characters such as Ms. Marvel who would continue her stint in future films. As for characters already in the MCU, some of them have re-introductions such as Monica Rambeau who was first seen on Captain Marvel as a child and she's now grown up and in WandaVision, she was given her powers through the hex.

Kevin Feige, in an interview with SciFiNow+, elaborated that the multi-platform strategy of the MCU in its fourth face includes a speculative approach, especially on their TV series.

Feige said, "The fun of the MCU is, obviously, all of the crossovers that we can do between series, between films. It will always vary based on the story – sometimes it will go into a Season Two, sometimes it will go into a feature, and then back into a series. We've announced that Ms. Marvel, after her debut on Disney+, will be going into the second Captain Marvel film. But we are thinking of and planning second seasons for some of the upcoming series."

This makes it official that some of the shows have plans for an extension through second seasons or more. Feige added, "That's part of the fun, exciting, adrenaline-boosting creativity that we're able to do, thanks to Disney+, and really to figure out new ways of storytelling. Perhaps someday we'll chart out five seasons of a show, but really we're focusing on delivering the best seasons we can one at a time so far."

While the series has been a stepping stone for some characters, Feige also clarified that some series are the starting point of various films that are line up in Phase 4 like how Wanda would fit into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Which series do you think would have another season?

Meanwhile, the second Marvel series of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier premieres on March 19, 2021, via Disney+.
