Kaguya-Sama: Love is War Season 3 is happening and it will continue with the romantic comedy story that it has built from its previous releases. But wait, there's more! They have more than just another round as they confirmed that they would also be releasing three original video animations (OVAs) coming.
Here is the release date, spoilers, updates, and everything we know so far about the romantic comedy anime series.
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War Season 3 will feature more of the relationship of Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya where the series could head off to a confession. They are students of Shuchiin Academy where they are president and vice president respectively. Kaguya belongs to a wealthy family whose business is multi-industry while Miyuki is a top-notch student.
Here's the thing, they like each other but they are held back from telling because they are too proud to confess.
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War is from the pages of the Japanese seinen manga of the same name by Aka Akasaka which started publishing in 2015 through the Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Miracle Jump before transferring to the Weekly Young Jump in 2016. The manga series is released in English through Viz Media. In 2020, the manga series won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award.
A-1 Pictures produced the 12-episode anime series when it first came into the picture in 2019. The following year, the anime series was able to secure enough to have another 12-episode run for a second season. In late 2020, an announcement was released in an event "Kaguya-sama Wants To Tell You On Stage" which confirmed that Season 3 is already in the works.
Much to the thrill of the fans to hear the news of the third installment of Kaguya-Sama: Love is War is that there would be three OVAs released as well which will be bundled together with the limited edition of Volume 22 of the manga. The titles of the OVAs are also released which are as follows: Kaguya-sama Darkness Volume 1, Kaguya-sama Darkness Volume 2, and Kaguya-sama Wants Him to Eat.
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War doesn't just stop there with the animations of the title; it also had its very own live-action film in 2019 which was directed by Hayato Kawai.

There is no confirmation yet as to when Kaguya-Sama: Love is War Season 3 will be released but it is likely to be somewhere between late 2021 to mid-2022 as they are currently focusing on the three OVAs they would be releasing on May 19, 2021.
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War Season 3 Details
This coming season 3 is expected to cover what remains of Volume 10 of the manga series. A confession has been much-awaited since the start and many have been hoping that the two would finally get into a deeper relationship with each other.
If there would be no change, it would still be A-1 Pictures who'd produce the anime series and Shinichi Omata will direct the series under the pseudonym of Mamoru Hatakeyama. Yasuhiro Nakanishi would pen the series while Yuuko Yahiro would do the character designs. Onboard as well would be sound director Jin Aketagawa and music composer Kei Haneoka.
As for the episode count, should the studio continue the trend that it had with the previous seasons, season 3 will likely have 12 episodes as well, as a single-cour.
No trailer has been released yet for the third season. In the meantime, Crunchyroll has the previous seasons and episodes of Kaguya-Sama: Love is War while it is Funimation that holds its English dub.
