Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most highly watched animated series alongside Attack on Titan and many others. Jujutsu Kaisen is an anime series produced by MAPPA based on a Japanese manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami.
In Jujutsu Kaisen, every living being has energy called Cursed Energy which comes from the negative emotions naturally flowing in the body. For normal people, this is beyond their control and because of this, normal people continually lose Cursed Energy which results in the birth of Curses.
Jujutsu Sorcerers are those who can control the flow of their Cursed Energy which allows them to use it in any way they can and to reduce the release of the said energy. Those who are high-ranking can refine the Cursed energy and use it to do Cursed Techniques which is unique to tailored fit to the user or their lineage.
An example of the Cursed Technique is the Domain Expansion which allows the user to course through their Cursed Energy to create a pocket dimension surrounding the area they can cover making their attacks stronger.
Yuji Itadori lives with his dying grandfather and studies in school where he joins the Occult Research Club instead of the track team despite his innate talent in the track. Unfortunately, his grandfather's time is almost up and, on his deathbed, he leaves to Yuji the thoughts to always help people and to die around people.
When his grandfather died, Yuji took the advice of his grandfather as one: "everyone deserves a proper death."
Megumi Fushiguro, a sorcerer, confronted Yuji of a high-grade cursed charm talisman that he encountered in school. The talisman was unsealed by the Occult Club that he belongs to and that attracted the Curses to the school which brought negative emotions strengthened by consuming the magical powers of the sorcerers around.
In order to protect Megumi, Yuji swallowed the talisman and became the host of Sukuna, a powerful Curse. Because Sukuna is evil in nature, the sorcerers tried to exorcise Yuji immediately. Despite being possessed, Yuji retained his composure and control over his body.
The plan is this: delay the death of Yuji until he swallows all of the fingers of Sukuna to kill the powerful Curse once and for all.
