WandaVision Season Finale gave us not just one, but two scenes squeezed in the credits: one mid-credits scene and one post-credits scene. This means that you have to watch until the very last second to get all that the canon series of Marvel Cinematic Universe has to offer.
The classic touch of Marvel putting mid-credits and post-credits scene is one of the most creative ways Marvel has introduced back to the film industry. Sure, Marvel didn't exactly invent it as it has been decades since it was used but Marvel really popularized the use of mid-credits and the post-credits scenes in today's films.
One would even say you're never truly a fan of Marvel when you walk out of the theater the moment the credits appear. In almost all the films of Marvel, there is at least one scene squeezed in the credits, and no, it's not like the behind-the-scenes or bloopers, these scenes actually take part in the narrative with some scenes standing like a preview of what comes next.
What's the difference between the two anyway? Well, for one, the placement of the scenes in the credits. Mid-credits scenes are found in between two credit sequences. The first credits would be the main crew of the show and the banner stars, usually appearing in the creative style of preference of the show. Before the typical rolling film credits start, the mid-credits scene appears.
For the post-credits, it's the scene that appears after the rolling film credits. After everyone responsible for the film rolls in the credits appear, you know, the usual credits with the black background and white text, one short scene is squeezed before all the curtains close. That's the post-credits scene.

As for WandaVision, as it is a television series, fans started to wonder whether it would be having any mid-credits or post-credits scene as it is quite unusual to have such for a TV series. Still, knowing Marvel, it would have it one way or another.
The first-ever mid-credits scene in WandaVision appeared in Episode 7 where Monica was looking for Wanda in the house of Agatha when Fietro (Fake Pietro) who is later revealed to be the real Ralph Bohner, not any magical person, just the guy who happened to own the house beside a lot of Wanda and Vision, Fietro dropped his famous line "snoopers gonna snoop."
In the next episode, Episode 8, another mid-credits scene appeared with the reveal of White Vision.
For the season finale, however, there is not just one, but two scenes in the credits: the mid-credits of Monica and a "friend" of her mother, and the post-credits of Wanda in recluse on a mountain home.
What happened in the mid-credits scene in WandaVision's season finale?
Jimmy Woo orders FBI agents to build a medical station in the pharmacy of Westview when Monica gets in to tell him he's great with being an authority. A uniformed person approached Monica telling her to get to the theater as "they are waiting" for her.
When Monica arrives in the theater, it was revealed that the uninformed person is a Skrull and a friend of her mother telling her they know she has been grounded by S.W.O.R.D. (meaning she can't go to outer space) and that their head is waiting for Monica up there, pointing to the sky, meaning the sky station that the Skrulls have orbiting the Earth as seen in Captain Marvel.
Monica smiles as if she knows exactly what she meant.
What happened in the post-credits scene in WandaVision's season finale?
As for the post-credits scene, it shows the scenic views of the mountains, maybes somewhere in Alaska, or something like that, where it pans to a small mountain home in recluse. It shows Wanda holding a cup of tea or coffee as the kettle whistles.
When Wanda gets inside, it shows her idyllic and quiet home, alone in the mountains, in the woods. The big reveal, however, is Wanda's astral projection floating on the corner of her bedroom reading the Darkhold as if studying it. (A nice callback to Dr. Strange's experience with astral projection, by the way.) And just as the scene is about to end, Wanda hears Billy and Tommy calling out for her.
What do these post-credits scenes mean for Marvel Cinematic Universe?
For starters, the mid-credits scene can be a direct link to the upcoming Captain Marvel 2 where the settling of the Skrulls on Earth is being reintroduced in the MCU. The Skrulls didn't have a proper introduction the first time they arrived. They were treated like villains when they just wanted a home to stay on after their planet was disintegrated.
This would mean that the Skrulls will be having a bigger influence on the fourth phase of the MCU and could bring about the comics of the Invasion of the Skrulls into the storyline. Moreover, this could shed more light as to how Monica, who now has amazing powers with the sneak peek of her capabilities within WandaVision, will play a role in the upcoming Captain Marvel 2.
As for Wanda, her recluse is more like her very own Kamar-Taj minus the portals to various locations all over the world. This scene opens up to her channeling her powers into a deeper level where she can now astral project like Dr. Strange did before. It should be noted, as well, that Agatha told her that the Scarlet Witch has powered more than that of the Sorcerer's Supreme.
Wanda explores how she could understand her magic on a more intimate level, hence, living alone in the mountains. What's interesting is the call of her sons. Could this mean they are still alive somewhere in the world or in the astral plane? If so, where are they and how could they reach Wanda?
Given that WandaVision sets in stone the beginning of the post-Infinity saga in Phase 4 of the MCU, the series opened more doors to various possibilities which can sprout to the storylines of the future films and installments in MCU such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man 3: No Way Home.
