Horimiya has been captivating fans and viewers with its nostalgic high school romance of Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura. Produced by CloverWorks, the animated series is based on the Shōnen manga series of Hiroki Adachi.
Horimiya is about the story of Kyouko Hori, an amiable and popular girl in school who is excelling in academics but wears simplicity when at home as she spends most of her time taking care of her younger sibling. On the other hand, Izumi Miyamura may look like a bookish nerd but is actually struggling with academics.
The two are on polar opposites but when their paths crossed, they prove that opposites really attract. They slowly unravel their hidden personas and start to accept each other for who they truly are until they inevitably fall in love.
The tone of the whole series is set by the musical element of the opening song of the series, Color Perfume by Yoh Kamimura which brings in the light feels of the high school romance series.
