The ENGI animated Full Dive is about Hiroshi YÅ«ki, a high school student, who loves to play virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game or VRMMORPGs, and one day, he went to the store where the store manager forcibly made him buy the Kiwame Quest, a game that when he tried, it was so realistic that even getting hurt in the game means getting hurt in real life.

And yes, Full Dive is based on both a Japanese light novel series by Light Tuchihi with the illustrations of Youta published by Media Factory since 2020 under their MF Bunko J imprint, and the seinen manga series by Kino published in Media Factory's seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive.

A rather new title in the stands, Full Dive's light novels were only released last August 25, 2020, and the manga series just this year in January. Given its short tenure, both the light novels and the manga series are still ongoing and have a long way to go. With the anime series coming into play, it is also expected that both the manga series and the light novels will also gain much attention.

Full Dive releases new episodes every Wednesday via Funimation at 10:30 PM JST. The release time is dependent on your geographical location as follows: Pacific Time: 6:30 AM, Central Time: 8:30 AM, Eastern Time: 9:30 AM, and British Time: 2:30 PM.
