Full Dive, short for Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!, just debuted with a promising kick-off premiere episode, and the anime about the game is already gaining much attention which brings us to Episode 2, the next in line with a release date and time, and a countdown, plus where you can watch the new anime series with English subs online, and a recap of what just happened in its first episode.
Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life! is animated by ENGI and it will be having 12 episodes for the whole season. The story goes around Hiroshi Yūki, a high school student, who plays virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game or VRMMORPGs.
Hiroshi wanted to see if there are new games in a games store when the game store manager, Reona Kisaragi, forced him to purchase Kiwame Quest, a game. When he put it on, he realized that there’s something peculiar about the game, it’s too realistic. Throughout the game, he comes across girls who want something from him, and when hit in the game, you get hurt in real life as well.
Full Dive is based on the Japanese light novel series of Light Tuchihi with the illustrations of Youta published by Media Factory since 2020 under their MF Bunko J imprint. It also has a seinen manga series by Kino published in Media Factory's seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive.

In Full Dive Episode 1, VR × Real, we’re introduced to Hiroshi Yūki who is established as a high school student who loves games. He went to a nearby game store to check out some games, and he met the game store manager, Reona Kisaragi, who deceivingly forced him to buy the game “Kiwame Quest.”
When Hiroshi comes home, he tries the game on and he was in awe with the graphics, the NPCs’ behavior, the scent of the environment, the wind blowing, and the workmanship of the whole game – it all feels extremely real, it’s too real for a game. Hiroshi went on to explore the game and he is still surprised as to how lifelike the game is.
Funimation holds the official license to stream online Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life! With this, the premium access subscribers of the streaming platform have the privilege of earlier streaming of the episodes of the animes under their library for the price of $5.99 per month or $59.99 a year, after which, the episodes will be up for free on Funimation the following week.
Full Dive Episode 2, titled Living in a Dead Game, is scheduled to be released on April 14, 2021, the same release date as that of the free release of the debut episode, VR × Real. It will be available via Funimation for the premium access subscribers of the anime streaming platform on the said date. On April 14, 2021, Episode 2 will be released to the general public for free.
