Dr. Stone: Stone Wars is an anime series produced by TMS Entertainment based on the anime manga series of the same name by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, and is currently in its second season.
Dr. Stone revolves around the story where a genius boy, Senku Ishigami, emerges from petrification after 3,700 years when a mysterious light turned every human on the planet into stone. Ishigami breaks out of his stone and wakes up into a "Stone World" where he seeks to rebuild the human race literally from the ground up.
In his quest of bringing back the world to normal, Ishigami encounters Tsukasa Shishiou, a man who believes only the fittest of those turned into stones should be brought back to life.
The second season focuses on the Stone Wars arc from the manga, Ishigami and his allies finish their preparations for their planned attack on the Tsukasa empire. After reinventing a cell phone model for the Ishigami Village, the Kingdom of Science prepares to launch their scheme to recruit members of the Tsukasa army to their favor.
The empire grows in number just as the Kingdom of Science perfect their inventions. Ishigami and the Kingdom must be able to stop Tsukasa and his army to reach their goal of reviving the petrified humanity and the Stone Wars begins.
Dr. Stone: Stone Wars is slated to have 11 episodes and the story is about to enter its mid-season as the sixth episode is underway.

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
In the fifth episode of the series, Ishigami and his allies continue with their initial testing of the steam cart they have invented and Ishigami is planning to mobilize the whole village to head to the heart of the Empire of Might where Chrome is imprisoned.
The elders of the village tell Ishigami that they have knowledge of the steam cart he built which will be for the benefit of the village but they would not be going with the village for the journey they are about to embark on. Even when reluctant, Ishigami accepts their decision.
The group camps out near Tsukasa's empire and Suika scouts the vicinity and she sees Chrome imprisoned in a cell made of bamboo bars. Ishigami creates a carbon resin through paper and molten plastic thereby modifying the steam cart as a literal tank.
Ishigami knows that it would be a one-shot chance to use the steam gorilla and it would be for the freedom of Chrome. However, Tsukasa figured that Ishigami will likely develop a steam engine, therefore putting up traps around the location of Chrome. Upon seeing this, Chrome decides to escape on his own.
