A new trailer of Cruella has been released by Disney of the villainous origin story of Cruella de Vil set in 1970's London and it reveals new scenes of Cruella, portrayed by Emma Stone, in her journey through the fashion industry then later making herself known by a statement dress at a social event.
In the trailer, we see how Cruella started as an apprentice as a fashion designer and how she was constantly turned down only to be known one day with a stunning design of a dress stealing the show in a social event attended by Baroness von Hellman and catching her keen eye for design.
Emma Stone is rocking her grunge redhead look in the first half of the trailer and we see her transformation in the film from a girl in glasses trying to make a name through the designs she makes to becoming a ruthless woman of fashion and later in life being consumed by her revenge.
Cruella follows Estella, a grifter, with perseverance to make a name in the fashion industry in the middle of the punk rock revolution. She becomes friends with two young thieves with an appetite like hers for mischief and they continue to build a life for themselves in the streets of London. Making such a grand entrance during a social event, she becomes noticed by a fashion legend, Baroness von Hellman. From then on, she started embracing the dark and wicked side she has and finally becoming Cruella.
Cruella premieres in theaters on May 28, 2021, and it will have the same-day release on Disney+ Premier Access for an additional $30 on top of the monthly subscription price.
