J.C. Staff animated and co-produced by Funimation, Combatants Will Be Dispatched had its announcement as an anime series with 12 episodes in a single-cour during the first anniversary of the light novel website of Kadokawa's "Kimirano" giving life through the anime series the light novel series Natsume Akatsuki with the illustrations by Kakao Lanthanum and seinen manga series of the same name by Misaaki Kiasa.

The story follows the Kisaragi Secret Society, an evil organization with the goal of dominating the world and other planets, dispatched Combat Agent Six along with android Alice on their first mission outside Earth as they were tasked to infiltrate an alien planet from the inside.

In Combatants Will Be Dispatched Episode 5, To Be A Hero, the truth was set free and Snow finally learns that Combat Agent Six and android Alice are Kisaragi spies which made them expelled from the Royal Army and had they lay low on a hideout so they rented a house to plan for their final mission which is to install a transfer machine.

Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Grace, the army of the Demon King starts to prepare for a total attack on the kingdom and with Combat Agent Six the one prophesized to be their savior, his expulsion bears more weight now more than ever.

As the co-producer of Combatants Will Be Dispatched, Episode 6 will be available to stream online through Funimation which for the price of $5.99 per month or $59.99 a year gives their premium access subscribers the privilege of a week of earlier streaming before releasing their episodes to the general public for free the following week. There is yet to have a confirmation as to the English dubbed version of the series.
