In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 190, Escape, it was revealed by Konohamuru that Kara is after Kawaki who they call the vessel and that they are just inviting some trouble on themselves; Naruto says that Kawaki is still a child. Konohamuru also revealed that it was Koji who killed Mr. Ao and surprised that Koji used Rasengan knowing that only a few Shinobi uses such. Konohamuru thinks that the Rasengan used by Koji was copied from a scientific ninja tool.
Kawaki is still in the lab with a scientific ninja tool cuffing his hands and the doctor revealed that there is a rapid cellular division inside Kawaki where he could either strengthen or weaken the body in a fight; noting as well the high regenerative power of Kawaki. Mitsuki worries Kawaki would use Karma again but the doctor said that he has no enough chakra to use such power.
Boruto looks at the mark on his hand wondering why he has Karma. Dr. Katasuke told him that the research would continue given how clueless they are about Karma. Boruto worries also that Kawaki may escape as he is possibly an enemy. The doctor said he’s in isolation but has no choice to do such telling Team 7 they should stay on guard and warned Sumire about Kawaki.
Kawaki started destroying everything inside his isolation room but cannot succeed in breaking any door or wall. An emergency reached Dr. Katasuke and they watched the footage where Mitsuki suggested that Kawaki should be stopped before he can escape, opening a sleeping gas in his room to restrain him. Kawaki, being destructive, worries why he cannot break anything inside the room.
Kawaki falls unconscious and dreams about Jigen calling him a son. He woke up and found himself on the bed. Sumire offered him food but he kicked it away thinking the food was poisoned. Sumire noticed that Kawaki is uneasy being confined and she assured him that they mean no harm and consoled him.
Sarada scolded Boruto for being hard on Kawaki. While Naruto is on his way to meet Kawaki, Kawaki requested to use the bathroom where he used smokescreen to escape, stealing a scientific ninja tool. Sumire prevents his escape at the stairs. The two exchanged blows and Sumire pinned Kawaki down. Nue saw what happened and transformed into his monster form. Nue bit Kawaki’s hand but Kawaki still managed to escape.
Boruto wonders where Kawaki would go and Mitsuki suggested he could’ve run to the forest. On the other hand, Kawaki looks for food so he could regenerate quickly.
