Black Widow has had a tough ride throughout her tenure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and finally, the belle of the Avengers will be having her send-off in one explosive film, her very own, Black Widow, which, not only marks the first film for Phase Four of the MCU, but also the first one to extinguish the two-year drought of the fans clamoring for a Marvel movie which results to a successful release of its trailer garnering 70 million views in its first 24 hours.

Its recent trailer was released last Saturday and in a matter of 24 hours, the trailer already got more or less 70 million views according to The Hollywood Reporter. Considering that this trailer is already the third one for the film, it's not usual for trailers to have more views than the first ones released. However, in Black Widow's case, it even had 13 million more views compared to its second trailer released in March.

It even had more views than that of WandaVision which had 53 million views in the first 24 hours of posting and of Loki with 36 million views.

Black Widow film had its fair share of setbacks. The release date of the film has been pushed back a number of times due to the global pandemic which made Marvel resort to having its Disney+ series to open the fourth phase of the MCU instead of the film being its first release.

Fans must be really excited for the first Marvel film to arrive in two years following the last movie released in 2019, Spider-Man: Far From Home. This may be one factor why the trailer went up as the hype is real after the drought on Marvel films.

Black Widow will take place in the events between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Black Widow and she will be joined by Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff, and David Harbour as Red Guardian.

Black Widow will be released in theaters on July 9, 2021, and on the same day, it will also be released via Disney Plus Premier Access for $30 on top of the monthly subscription.
