The series takes place on the planet of Roshar - also the name of the continent where the story unfolds – a world with three moons and a large number of fantasy races, human and nonhuman.

The series has been praised for its luscious world-building, characterization, and plot and the books have scored pretty high as New York Time bestsellers.

The title of the fifth book in the Stormlight Archive series is going to be Knights of Wind an Truth.

So far, different Stormlight Archive books have had different characters as their focus.

Originally, the third book, now known as Oathbringer was given the working title of Stones Unhallowed.

This then became the working title of Book 5 before Sanderson settled on Knights of Wind and Trith.

Before changing its title and focus, book 3 was supposed to focus on Szeth, a character from the mountainous Shin, who is considered Truthless, a betrayer of his people.

It's unknown if Book 5 will still focus on Szeth despite the different title.

Stormlight Archive Book 5 Chapters

Once again, little can be said about the chapters of Book 5 for now, but it's worth mentioning that there's a steady increase from the first book's 75 chapters to 122 in the third.

Book 4 only had 118, but this is still a large number of chapters and there's nothing to suggest that Sanderson will return to under 100-chapter books anytime soon.

Stormlight Archive Book 5 Spoilers

Naturally, there has been quite a lot of speculation about possible plot points that will become important in Book 5 of Stormlight Archive particularly since Rhythm of War is so recent.

Here is a short synopsis of book 4 to refresh your memory:

"After forming a coalition of the human resistance against the enemy invasion, Dalinar Kholin and his Knights Radiant have spent a year fighting a protracted, brutal war. Neither side has gained an advantage, and the threat of a betrayal by Dalinar's crafty ally Taravangian looms over every strategic move.

Now, as new technological discoveries by Navani Kholin's scholars begin to change the face of the war, the enemy prepares a bold and dangerous operation. The arms race that follows will challenge the very core of the Radiant ideals, and potentially reveal the secrets of the ancient tower that was once the heart of their strength.

At the same time that Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with his changing role within the Knights Radiant, his Windrunners face their own problem: As more and more deadly enemy Fused awaken to wage war, no more honorspren are willing to bond with humans to increase the number of Radiants. Adolin and Shallan must lead the coalition's envoy to the honorspren stronghold of Lasting Integrity and either convince the spren to join the cause against the evil god Odium or personally face the storm of failure."

As for book 5, it can be suggested that the working title "Stones Unhallowed" itself is a spoiler about the book's main character.

Fans on Reddit and other social media have speculated that Kaladin will swear by the Fifth Ideal, the final part of the set of rules followed by Knights Radiant.

Fans also expect that since there will be a significant time leap between books 5 and 6, book 5 will feature the battle between Odium's Champion and Honor's.

There is much speculation as to who Odium's Champion is going to be.

Since the last five books of the series will almost be a different chapter in themselves, we can at least hope that book 5 of Stormlight will provide some much-needed answers.
