Kemono Jihen has been intense lately, so the breather episode we were treated to yesterday was much-needed. The 12-episode supernatural shōnen anime is coming to end but the world of Kemono Jihen definitely has a lot more to give. Kemono Jihen Overview and Episode 9 Recap
In Kemono Jihen, the main character Kabane is a half-ghoul taken in by Inugami, a detective specializing in the occult. In Tokyo, Kabane meets and befriends Inugami's other wards, Akira and Shiki. All boys and Inugami himself are Kemono - human-beast hybrids. Their job is to resolve tensions between humans and Kemono.
Episode 9 provided closure to the Shiki arc of the manga. Not only were Shiki and Aya able to save their mother, but it looks like they will now have the opportunity to make memories with her and each other.
Aya, a spider kemono whose web has healing properties, is now free of her uncle's clatches and ready to explore her powers. It looks like she might become a regular in Inugami's house, and she was able to resolve the case of the week single-handedly, much to the dismay of Kon, who fights her for Kabane's affections.
As for Kabane himself, he remains adorably clueless, loyal to his friends, and eager to learn more about the world. There seems to be a budding romance between him and Kon, though none of the two are ready to express it. Will Episode 10 show us more heartwarming scenes between the two?
And what about Kabane and Akira's families? Will we see more of them now that Shiki's arc is resolved?
Kemono Jihen Anime Episode 10 Release Date
Kemono Jihen airs every Sunday. Episode 10, titled "Twins" is going to be aired next Sunday on March 14 for premium Funimation users. Those streaming without a subscription will be able to watch episode 9 on that day, but will have to wait until the 21st of Match to watch Episode 10.
Given that Akira is looking for his brother, the title indicates Episode 10 might focus on him.

Kemono Jihen episodes are broadcast weekly at 22:00 JST. For the US and Canada, this translates to around 8:00 AM and for Central Europe around 14:00.
