Crunchyroll has already announced that they will simulcast Tokyo Revengers as part of their spring lineup. The story follows an adult man who, while watching the news one night, discovers that his middle school girlfriend (the only girlfriend he's ever had in his life) has been killed by the toughest gang in Tokyo. Suddenly, the man named Takemichi Hanagaki is transported back twelve years to middle school and given a chance to save the life of the girl he once loved by becoming the leader of the gang that killed her.

Tokyo Revengers features animation from Liden Films (Heroic Legend of Arslan) and is directed by Kouichi Hatsumi working off scripts written by Yasuyuki Muto. The character designs are being provided by the team of Kenichi Ohnuki and Keiko Ota. Hiroaki Tsutsumi is composing the background music.

Fans of time skip series such as Erased and Steins;Gate should find exactly what they are looking for with the anime adaptation of Tokyo Revengers. While it doesn't look like it's going to be particularly light or easy viewing, you can color me intrigued to check this one out when it premieres on Crunchyroll on April 10th.
