At first, the orb takes on the form of a rock and then a wolf, at which point it travels and meets a young boy who has been abandoned in an arctic village. Lonely, the boy travels with the wolf in search of other people.

It’s incredibly difficult to know what to say about this series without giving away the major twist at the end of episode 1 (don’t worry, no spoilers here). I will say that this is a premiere that drew out a visceral emotional reaction from me. All throughout the episode, I was speaking at the screen, and then in the final moments of the episode, I sat there in stunned silence for a full ten minutes trying to figure out how I felt about what I had just seen, and even then I found myself without words in continued stunned silence.
Your mileage may vary with this premiere, but I urge you to at least give it a chance sooner rather than later so that you can minimize your risk of spoilers.
