Possibly one of the most emotionally heavy first episodes of the season, it’s hard to even know where to begin with the shonen anime To Your Eternity.

In the first few seconds of this premiere, we meet an orb sent to Earth by a god. At first, the orb takes on the form of a rock and then a wolf, at which point it travels and meets a young boy who has been abandoned in an arctic village. Lonely, the boy travels with the wolf in search of other people.

To Your Eternity has studio Brain’s Base producing the animation with Masahiko Murata serving as the director working off series composition created by Shinzo Fujita and character designs created by Koji Yabuno. Premiering on April 12th, the series will air for 20 episodes

To Your Eternity Episode 2 Where to Watch English Subs Online

As of April 12th, 2021, the only place to watch To Your Eternity is on Crunchyroll. No other streaming services have announced plans to simulcast this one.

It’s incredibly difficult to know what to say about this series without giving away the major twist at the end of episode 1 (don’t worry, no spoilers here). I will say that this is a premiere that drew out a visceral emotional reaction from me. All throughout the episode, I was speaking at the screen, and then in the final moments of the episode, I sat there in stunned silence for a full ten minutes trying to figure out how I felt about what I had just seen, and even then I found myself without words in continued stunned silence.

Your mileage may vary with this premiere, but I urge you to at least give it a chance sooner rather than later so that you can minimize your risk of spoilers.
