His name was ‘the Immortal Dragon' and he was one of the most feared yakuza members in the country. Now, however, he's a house husband going by his real name Tatsu who supports his career-driven wife, Miku. These are his daily adventures with others from his former yakuza life, including Masa, who gets sucked into helping Tatsu out with his daily chores and errands.
Originally a manga, this series has been running in the online magazine Kurage Bunch since 2018 and has been compiled into 7 volumes in Japan. The English version is being published by Viz Media, which has released 4 volumes as of September 2020. Constantly praised by fans and critics, the series has 1.2 million copies in print as of December 2019. Perhaps the biggest feather in the cap of this series, however, would be when it took home an Eisner award in 2020.
The new series will be animated by studio J.C. Staff with Chiaki Kon as the director working off scripts penned by Susumu Yamakawa. Kenjiro Tsuda will return to the role of Tatsu after playing the part in the manga promotional videos.

This series will be a Netflix exclusive. There have been no announced plans by any other streaming service, including Crunchyroll or Funimation, to stream this series.
The Way of the Househusband has been one of my favorite titles of the last couple of years. Hilarious is an understatement for this series and I can only hope that the anime does the source material justice, though that initial anime trailer didn't do it any favors.
