The Slime Diaries is off to an amazing start with cute and clever little side stories that will soften even the hardest of hearts.
While it was supposed to air in January 2021, COVID put a crimp on that plan and caused the series to be delayed until April, but it's here now! A spinoff from the main story of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, The Slime Diaries takes an everyday look at the residents of the Jura Tempest Federation and focuses on the daily relationships that make this city so fun and prosperous. Animated by studio Eight Bit, the series features Yuji Ikuhara as the director working off scripts written by Kotatsumikan.
Based on the manga (which itself is based on the original light novels), this series is not going to advance the main story at all and is instead going to be a completely comedic slice of life series which isn't a bad thing in the least (especially considering the high tension events of the main story's second season).

The Slime Diaries airs at 11 pm Japan Standard Time and streams outside of Japan on Crunchyroll an hour later. This means that the new episode will appear at the following times around the world:
Pacific Time: 8 am
Central Time: 10 am

The Slime Diaries Episode 3 Where to Watch English Subs Online
As of the time of this writing, the only place to watch this series legally with English subs is on Crunchyroll. No other streaming service has announced plans to simulcast this series as of April 16th, 2021.
The Slime Diaries is proving to be an incredibly fun series to watch this season. It won't last long (only one cour), but that's not going to stop me from enjoying it to the fullest!
