The Uzumaki family household gets a new resident!
In episode 194 of shonen anime Boruto, Kawaki moves into the Uzumaki house who welcomes him with open arms… well, except Boruto who is angry about a vase that Kawaki broke. The episode ends with Naruto showing Kawaki around the village while Boruto goes out to train.
Animated by Studio Pierrot and originally premiering on April 5th, 2017, this episode was directed by Shigetaka Ikeda and written by Kyoko Katsuya. The next episode, titled “A Vase”, will be directed by Michita Shiraishi and written by Toko Machida.
The next episode of Boruto airs on Sunday, April 18th, in Japan.
Boruto airs on Sundays at 5:30 pm Japan Standard Time but is delayed by half an hour for its Crunchyroll stream. This translates into streaming around the world at these times:
Pacific Time: 2 am
Boruto continues to be a presence in the anime community and likely will continue to be for many more years to come. It’s hard to believe that Naruto has been around the anime scene for almost as long as I’ve been an anime fan and is still going strong.
I remember being asked once on a podcast if I was sad that Naruto was ending, and I almost laughed at the idea that it was ever going to actually end. After the nuclear apocalypse, we can be certain that there are three things that will survive: Twinkies, roaches, and Naruto, and I'm not 100% certain about the Twinkies.
To put it bluntly, no one should ever worry about the Naruto franchise ever truly disappearing. It's already proven that it's here to stay.
