Knights of the Old Republic Remake Coming to PS5

The classic RPG video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, also known as KOTOR, will finally be embracing modernity as its remake is coming to PlayStation 5 at a launch as a console exclusive and it is also possible that it will also be available for other consoles in the future. The new remaster will remain in the hands of Aspyr who did the same on Republic Commando and Jedi Outcast.

In today's PlayStation Showcase, a trailer was released with Darth Revan revealing himself with his lightsaber coupled with an ominous voiceover. Knights of the Old Republic has been one of the most consistent in ranking as one of the best role-playing games of all time and it is also one of the best Star Wars games according to IGN.

Knights of the Old Republic was originally developed by BioWare and it brought a whole new era of RPGs on PC. Aspyr Media took over the game later on. With almost two decades in existence, the game will finally be coming into modern consoles as a remastered version by Aspyr on PlayStation 5 and surely, what follows is that it would be available to other consoles as well.

The PlayStation Showcase 2021 recently streamed offering a sneak peek of what the future of PlayStation 5 would be and they live-streamed their event at 4 PM on September 9, 2021. The stream focused on the games coming into PlayStation 4 and one of which is Knights of the Old Republic.

Fans who are playing the game or who used to play the game were shocked with the announcement, coupled with excitement as those with PlayStation 5 consoles could not play the classic RPG game of Knights of the Old Republic.

Knights of the Old Republic still has no official release date from Sony.
