Justice League Part 1 Will Begin Filming in April

The DC Extended Universe is busy. Not long after Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is released, Snyder will begin filming for Justice League Part 1.

According to Entertainment Weekly, WB/DC and Snyder both confirmed the Justice League Part 1 filming is set to begin on April 11. This means that the studios and Snyder are undoubtedly confident that Batman V Superman will do well in the box office.

In the EW interview, Snyder explained to the publication how the project is far from easy though.

The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing. It was a little bit of an ‘about time' moment, and I don't blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it's a long time coming.
But I do feel like it's a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.' But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.

The Man of Steel director has expressed his confidence in the past about the storyline of Dawn of Justice as highlighting Superman (Henry Cavill) and Batman's (Ben Affleck) battle and ideologies. Meanwhile, other Justice League members except Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), will be getting a "whisper" of a screen time in the film.

It remains to be seen how other members of the Justice League, including Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and eventually Cyborg (Ray Fisher), will play into the DCEU movie.

Personally, I'm curious to see what the creators' plan of attack is for the film, which will set the stage for future DCEU films and highlight Batman and Superman at the same time. There have been prior doubts as to the success of Dawn of Justicebeing detrimental to the filming of Justice League Part One.

Only time will tell.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters in a little over a month from now on March 25. Meanwhile, Justice League Part One is set for a November 17, 2017 release.
