Justice League Deleted Scene Reveals Superman's Black Suit

Superman's return in Justice League was hardly a surprise. After all, some promotional material already had him side by side with the other heroes and actor Henry Cavill was announced for the film. That being said, some fans were hoping to see Cavill's Superman don the black suit the character wore in the comics after he came back to life.

While he never wore it in the film, a deleted scene from the Justice League Blu-Ray reveals that the suit does, in fact, exist in the DCEU. Shared by Entertainment Weekly, the scene in question is set after the scene where he retreats with Lois when brought back to life but before he makes the decision to help the League.

In this scene, he seems to return to the ship from Man of Steel where he first discovered his armor. As Clark explores the ship, he is given two suits to put on; a space suit and the black armor fans have been waiting to see. This doesn't look like the black suit from the comics, it has a cape, but it's still a nice nod to the source material.

Of course, he decides to put on his classic costume and proceeds to make Steppenwolf look like a joke. This scene would have been nice to see since it's shot well and also features the return of Hans Zimmer's Man of Steel theme. Why it was pulled from cinemas is questionable, though the shortened runtime was the likely culprit.

Justice League will be available in digital formats on February 13. The Blu-Ray release comes out a month later on March 13.
