Wonder Woman 1984 is one of the most-anticipated films to arrive this year, looking out for what's to come in Diane Prince's next adventure. Although the film has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, fans can still remain hyped for the movie with some new still images. Aside from showing off Wonder Woman's golden armor, a new photo from Empire teases a fight between her and Cheetah.
Taking to Twitter, Empire's acting editor Nick de Semlyen shared a photo of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Kristen Wiig's Cheetah in a standoff, which appears to be set in the White House. The titular character wraps the Lasso of Truth around Cheetah's hands, but it looks like that latter has managed to deflect it. You can check out the photo below!
The White House seems to be a prominent setting in Wonder Woman 1984, having been shown in both the still images and the trailer, which suggests it'll be a key part of the movie. That said, what's not to be revealed yet, is Cheetah's final form. The clips and photos haven't hinted at Wiig's final look as the villain yet, and I'm assuming it'll happen around the third act of the film, given that the standoff in the photo seems to be the pivotal part of the movie.
Needless to say, though the film faced another delay, the photo certainly adds to the excitement and shows that it'll be worth the wait.
Wonder Woman 1984 is currently set for release on August 14, 2020.
