With Spider-Man trilogy director, Sam Raimi, confirmed to helm Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is there a possibility that he and actor Tobey Maguire could reunite once again to work on another Spider-Man-related film?

According to scooper Lords of the Long Box on YouTube, Maguire could be back as the wall-crawler for a live-action Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie from Sony. The film is said to be a chance for Raimi to say goodbye to Maguire's version of the character.

In addition, the film will also have an Avengers: Endgame farewell for Maguire, likening this to Robert Downey Jr.'s exit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the said movie. Not only that, but the scooper also claims this Spider-Verse movie will lead to the introduction of the live-action version of Miles Morales' Spider-Man.

Since Sony owns the film rights to Spider-Man, it is expected for the studio to decide what to do with the character. However, the rumor suggests that Marvel Studios could be involved with the film as well.

Maguire and Raimi have worked together on the three Spider-Man films back in the early 2000s, which gained massive success. The actor has been one of the most popular versions of the wall-crawler, so having a meaningful farewell seems appropriate.

The source is a famous scooper and there have been several scoops from the past he got right. Though we still need to take everything with a grain of salt.
